Hi Paul,

I believe the charges against the officer are for second and third degree murder; therefore, that’s the term I used. I’m not a lawyer so I can’t predict what the ultimate punishment will be but I think we all agree things like this shouldn’t happen and hopefully these conversations move us in the direction of making sure they don’t.

I agree with all you said…but placating the politicians by calling George Floyd’s death a murder…twice…that goes too far IMO.

Yea…I know it was wrong. But I doubt the police officer woke up that morning and said…I’m going to kill someone today…just maybe George Floyd.

I agree 100% with Manslaughter but, not murder.

And I bet if that is what the DA goes after…he might lose.
