This virus had the making of a pandemic for months. It is worse than regular flu. I was in Europe with university students and we were watching and discussing this since Feb.

Appropriate planning could have kept this flu from becoming the crisis it has become. Understanding science, data collection, and having experts in the appropriate jobs are vital – all of which were missing.
