Haha!! Great article – just what I needed today! Good luck on your new adventure…you’re probably the only person who is actually looking forward to the coming Winter months! Just remember 6 months in a new area can grow on a person – I suspect you WILL be returning with a new Texas belt buckle – perhaps in the shape of an armadillo?? 🙂

Welcome to Texas, Y’all! The Texas winter IS mild, especially compared to MI (although my sister in Galveston had snow at Christmas just a few years ago). There is no shortage of people gazing and lessons to be learned along the gulf coast. If you need some good suggestions of local fare, just let me know…I know people.
